Primer

Note: I am currently working on a full platform redesign for 2025 with a specific focus on Vostok, Evergreen, and Rune. This updated design will standardize my lineup to 125B enclosures, topmount jacks, relay bypass (soft touch) switching, and allow for a much more streamlined build process which will allow for more consistent pedal availability. 903 Effects is a passion project that lives alongside my day-job and family life, all pedals will continue to be built here in East Texas by me alone and this update will allow me to continue making killer gear on top of everything else that goes on in life. Primer is a Dirty Boost that straddles the line between Boost and Overdrive. It features three different clipping modes and has plenty of gain on tap to fully saturate anything you place behind it.

This pedal really shines in it's ability to effortlessly stack with other dirt pedals. Use the Primer up front to drive downstream pedals to create complex overtones, or place it after low gain circuits to bring a weak signal back to life. However you use it, a good coat of Primer is the key to a complex and professional tone.

Controls:

Level - This simply controls the output volume of the pedal. From silent to amp crushing volume.
Clipping Switch - This switch controls the intensity of the drive. Mild-Center, Moderate-Down, Heavy-Up. Compression will increase with the clipping. Heavier clipping settings have lower output.

By popular request, this circuit is an updated version of the well-loved boost found in the Rune.
